Geriatric Clinic

This clinic is run by Gemma Ward R.V.N. It is intended to be a 'well pet' clinic for our elderly patients. The purpose is to catch certain old age problems earlier than we would do if we waited for obvious signs of disease. Generally, the earlier a problem is diagnosed and treated the better the prognosis will be.

Common age related problems in dogs are arthritis, heart disease and dental disease. Cats tend to suffer from hyperthyroidism, renal failure and dental disease as they age.
