Rachel Batty R.V.N.
Senior Nurse/ Registered Veterinary Nurse
I joined The Charlesworth Veterinary Surgery in 2014 part-way through my training to be a vet nurse and qualified as an RVN in 2015. My first career was as a photographer but I found that I much preferred working with animals to children! In 2012, I completed my Animal Management qualification which allowed me to move onto nurse training.
I recently completed my Pet Health Councillor training and love running nurse clinics at the surgery. Lately I have undertaken further study into puppy socialisation, emergency anaesthesia and also I'm really enjoying developing our Osteo-Arthritis Clinic, as I've always had a keen interest in physiotherapy.
I share my house with Poppy, a rescue beagle who was brought into the vets after a nasty traffic accident, Mimi my sweet little rescue frenchie and I really want a horse. As well as riding I enjoy eating and drawing.
