Our Nursing Clinics service for veterinary care
' We are a training practice with a proud history of supporting and nurturing many excellent Veterinary Nurses over the years. Our student nurses work long hours, attend Bottle Green Training College and study hard for up to three years to finally achieve their well-deserved RVN qualification'
We are very proud of our excellent team of nurses and along side their many vital roles within the practice they provide another valuable service for you by conducting Nursing Clinics. Visiting our clinics means you can see a friendly, knowledgeable nurse away from the normal surgery appointments system, and so reduce your waiting time.
Our nurses can deal with many routine pet health care issues and answer any questions you may have; they may be able to detect signs and symptoms of a problem before it develops into something more drastic and alert the Veterinary Surgeon.
Our RVNs are fully qualified and have also undertaken further training to become Pet Health Councillors; they can impart a wealth of information and are more than happy to discuss nutrition and feeding advice, including helping you with weight management programs for your pet. This is so important as pet obesity is such a worrying problem and can lead to many additional health issues for your lovely animals. Your furry friend will feel so much happier and healthier if they are the correct weight, so our nurses will organise a program for them to lose excess weight safely and support you all the way.
Owning a new fur baby can be daunting, it will be really helpful for you to book in for a puppy or kitten talk with the nurse. We love to see them and give them lots of cuddles and treats. Its so important your little ones to have positive experiences when they come in to see us.
The Nurses are able to administer medications if you struggle to do so, such as flea products and wormers and give you the best advice regarding the most current treatments. They are also happy to perform minor procedures such as nail clipping or help your pet get used to this procedure, as many animals dislike it.
